Staycation at The Boutique Bed and Breakfast Tagaytay

Long weekend at last!

My husband and I just wanted to go somewhere where we can relax and unwind and our idea of adventure for this trip includes slouching, eating, and watching TV so we decided to book a hotel for some staycation experience.

We had a few options in mind but the first on our list is The Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Tagaytay. We always wanted to go here ever since we read about this place. I didn't want to spend too much time on the road either so we just decided to go somewhere near Cavite and so we thought this place would be perfect for our plan.

Hotel entrance

You will find this beside the staircase going to the lobby.
My husband made the reservation a couple of weeks before US Labor day. I was already excited to try this place based on the reviews and feedback I'm reading from other bloggers but I got more excited after we received the confirmation email. It stated the inclusion of our package. It might be basic for others but my husband and I never booked a hotel that cost more than Php3500 especially when we go on a trip. Our room would usually consist of bed, aircon/fan, TV, toothbrush, toothpaste, cookie-sized soap, and towels. That is it! So when I read that we will get welcome drinks, midnight snack, and we get to choose our pillows, that's like a 5 star hotel experience for me. Alright, it might be exaggerated but like I said, we don't stay in any fancy hotel prior to this so this is something different for us.
Each room is named after an emotion that evolves the process of falling in love.

Look how many pillows we had that night! We stayed in iDream.
Each room has wall-mounted TV and speakers for mp3, mp4, iPod, iPhone, and laptop.

These are things that we need as we give ourselves some R&R.
They also have complimentary fruits and water. We had orange after our dinner and we ate the mango and apple after breakfast.
Best side table ever! Why? Because it has yema and shing-a-ling which you can eat while waiting for your order or while watching tv or surfing the internet.

The view from our room. We also received a welcome letter from Allana and Happy (naks, feeling close lang).
We left our home at 12 noon and took a bus going to Nasugbu. The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is just in front of Serin Ayala Mall in Tagaytay so it's hard to miss. The traffic was moderate and we arrived at the hotel around 1:30pm. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the receptionist. After confirming our reservation, we were immediately asked to pick our choice of room scent and handmade shampoo, conditioner, and soap from their Pamper Me line. I chose citrus lavender for our room scent. My husband chose peppermint soap because he was having allergic rhinitis and didn't want to smell the other options. I had melon mint soap and for our shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, I chose the green apple scent.
That's my handsome husband waiting at the lobby as they prepare our room. Behind that painting is the Hawaiian Bar-B-Q Restaurant.
This is the area where you would choose your room scent and bath essentials. This is located behind the reception.

It was still a few more minutes before 2pm but they allowed us to check in. Upon entering our room they served us our welcome drinks (cucumber juice) and some espasol with chocolate dip to nibble. The hotel receptionist who ushered us to our room gave us our basket. It contained the soap and bath essentials that we chose, cotton balls, cotton pads, Q-tips, toothpick, loofa, bedroom slippers, and other toiletries. We've been in this hotel for almost 10 minutes and I am already loving the experience. Oh, and one of the best part is they have bathrobes. Yes! my husband and I are crazy about bathrobes. It just gives us happiness whenever we wear one. Mababaw lang po pasensya na. hehehe
We didn't have laundry bag in our basket because they ran out of stock. Boo!!
Our welcome snack.

The cabinet inside the room and THE bathrobes.
The package includes 10 minute complimentary facial or foot massage. We both had foot massage and it was just alright. It was nothing especial. I felt like the masseuse was just rubbing my feet and legs and there was no pressure at all. It was not worth remembering.

Our dinner arrived at exactly 9pm. I love what we ordered. The serving was generous and the food was sumptuous. You may read more about it here.

The Boutique Bed and Breakfast really knows how to spoil their guests. They wouldn't let us sleep without making sure that we are going to have a goodnight sleep. At 10:30pm they served us our not-so-midnight snack (check it out here). We indeed had a goodnight sleep that night. I wasn't able to finish the movie that we were watching and it was a horror movie. Who could fall asleep while watching something that could put you at the edge of your seat? Me! :)
Before going to bed, we filled out the Breakfast form and hang it outside our door. Look at our breakfast that morning. Just like the night before, we had our breakfast in bed. Sobrang tamad lang, hehe. You may read more about our breakfast experience here.

A picturesque breakfast plates.
Overall, I would say our experience is great. We were able to achieve our goal which is to relax and unwind, slouch, eat, and do nothing except watch TV. We didn't want to leave our room because the bed is very comfy and our room has a good view of Taal lake.

Hubby is very busy browsing the net. Note: Super ganda ng wifi connection nila. Bilis ng connection namin kahit nasa second floor.

Face mask on! (Premium snail facial mask by Tony Moly for only Php100. Bought it in one of the Korean stores in Aguirre Street. Thanks to my good friend Badot for bringing us there. mwuahh!!)
A sweet treat from Allana and Happy. ^,^ They gave us this box of chocolates upon check out including a gift certificate with 20% discount on our next visit. Si Ate Happy and Ate Allana talaga love na love kami. Nag-invite pa na bumalik kami.
I will definitely comeback here but I would probably try their room that has bathtub. :)
